Mosaic Moments Page Pattern 90 - Mosaic Border with Two Border Strips

Page Pattern Description: This pattern has three rows.

Top Row: On the left and right sides are two vertical borders made up of 1 in. squares covering a 2x4 area. There are also two 3.25w x 4.375h blocks in between the two borders.

Middle Row: A border of 1 in. squares (covering a 10x2 area) is between two 11.125w x 1 in. strips.

Bottom Row: This row is made up of five 2.125 in. squares.

 

 

"Nature Walk" page supplies: This page was created with Mosaic Moments™ 12x12 Cocoa grid paper.  Boysenberry and Dark Glorious Green Paper Tiles™ were used as photo mats. Embellishments used on this page were Boysenberry, Dark Glorious Green, Pineapple Bliss, Cyclamin Pink, and Tangelo Blast Paper Tiles, White 2012 Four Square Cornerstones™, Basicgrey™ pattern paper and stickers.

Mosaic Moments Page Pattern 89 - Mosaic Style with Four Photo Spots

Page Pattern Description: The top of this pattern has 1 in. squares that wrap around a 4.375w x 6.625 block (placed in the center). On both sides of this block are two 3.25w x 2.125h blocks. Below the block on the right side is a 3.25w x 1 in. block and a 4.375w x 3.25h block sits in the bottom right of the layout. On the bottom left of this page is another section of 1 in. squares.

Page Pattern Description: This page pattern is made up into three different columns.

First and Last Columns: These columns are exactly the same. Starting from the top, these rows begin with a 3.25w x 2.125h block, next is a column of five 3.25w x 1 strips, and last is a 3.25 in square block.

Middle Column: The middle column starts with a 4.375w x 5.5h block, with a 4.375 in. square below it. At the bottom is a row of four 1 in. squares.

 

"Ferry Ride" supplies used: This page was created using Mosaic Moments™ 12x12 Periwinkle grid paper. Sand and Ivory Paper Tiles™ were used for matting photographs and a 2011 Four Square Cornerstone was used as an embellishment.

Page Pattern Description: In the first and last columns on this page are each made up of a 3.25w x 4.375h block with a 3.25w x 2.125h block.  Page Pattern Description: This page is made up into three different rows with large photo spots.

Top Row: Starting from the left, this row has a 1 x 4.375 block, a 4.375 square block, and last is a 5.5w x 4.375h strip.

Middle Row: This row begins with a 4.375w x 3.25h block, next to it is a 5.5w x 3.25h block and last is a 1 x 3.25 strip.

Bottom Row: First is a 1 x 3.25 strip, to the right is a 6.625w x 3.25h block and at the end of this row is a 3.25 square block.

"Soccer" supplies used: This page was created using Mosaic Moments™ 12x12 Pewter grid paper, and Black and Robin's Egg Paper Tiles™ were used for matting photos and embellishing. A "Soccer" Tagline was used with a black Tagline mat, and Soccer Striplets were used as embellishments on this page.

Mosaic Moments Page Pattern 85 - Three Columns with Mosaic Elements

 

Page Pattern Description: This page consists of three different columns.

First Column: Starting from the top, this column starts with a row of three 1in. squares. Below is a 3.25 in. square with another row of 1in. squares beneath it. On the bottom of this column is a 3.25w x 4.375h block with 1 in. squares underneath it.

Middle Column: The top starts with a 4.375w x 3.25h block with a 4.375w x 5.5h block (which is the main focal point) underneath it. The bottom of this column is made up of two rows of 1 in. squares.

Last Row: This row is similar to the first row. It also has three rows of 1in. squares. The 3.25w x 4.375 is near the top of the column and the 3.25 square block is near the bottom (opposite of the first row).

 

"Winter Summerland" supplies used: This page was created using Mosaic Moments™ 12x12 Bahama Blue grid paper. Ocean Breeze, Grapefruit Bliss and Tangelo Blast Paper Tiles™ were used for matting the photographs and embellishments. A White 2013 Four Square Cornerstone, and pattern paper from Echo Park's "Hello Summer" 6x6 pack were also used as embellishments.

Tip: Here is a close up shot of the 1 in. squares at the bottom of this page (shown below). Can you see the squares that have the ripped sand paper over the blue pattern paper? I decided to put this on here for texture and to give the appearance of sand by the ocean (based on the beach theme). Try this technique with your future pages.

Page Pattern Description: This is a symmetrical page pattern that is made up of three different rows. The top row has two sets of 1 in. squares (two rows of three squares each), two 3.25  square blocks on the left and right edges, and in the center is a 4.375w x 6.625h block. The center row is a mosaic border made up of 1 in. squares. The bottom row has two 5.5w x 3.25h blocks.

Bottom Row: This row is entirely made up of 1 in. squares perfect for a Mosaic Border.

Page Pattern Description: This is a puzzle page pattern with multiple block sizes. Clockwise, starting from the top left corner is a row of three 1 in. squares. above a 3.25 square block. Next is a 5.5w x 4.375h block, a 2.125w x 4.375h block, and below is a 4.375w x 5.5h block with a row of four 1 in. squares underneath. On the left is a 4.375 square block and another 2.125w x 4.375h block. In the center is a row of three 2.125 square blocks.

"New Fantasyland" supplies used: This page was created using Mosaic Moments™ 12x12 Sunflower grid paper. It also has Scarlet, Huckleberry Pie, and Pear Crush Paper Tiles™ used as embellishments and matting for photographs.

Page Pattern Description: This page is broken up into three different columns.

First Column: The top of this column has a 4.375w x 5.5h block, the middle of this column is a row of four 1 in. squares. On the bottom is a 4.375 square.

Middle Column: On the top is a 3.25 square with a row of three 1 in. squares. Underneath is a 3.25w x 4.375h block. The bottom of this column is a 6.625w x 2.125h block (This is also underneath the last column), and you can use this as your title or journaling block.

Last Column: This column is similar to the middle column but rearranged differently. The top begins with a 3.25w x 4.375h block with a 3.25 square below it. A row of three 1 in. squares are underneath this set.


"Seattle" supplies used: This was page was created using Mosaic Moments™ 12x12 Granite grid paper. Black, Pewter, and White Paper Tiles™, and a White Four Square 2012 Cornerstone were used as embellishments on this page.

Page Pattern Description: This page consists of three different rows.

Top Row: Two 4.375w x 3.25h blocks sit at each end of this row. In between them is a small column that consists of a 2.125w x 1 in. block over a 2.125 in. block.

Middle Row: This row has two columns on each end. Each column has two 2.125w x 1 in. blocks with a 2.125 in. block in between them. In the center (the focal point on this page) is a 6.625w x 4.375h block.

Bottom Row: This row is similar to the top row. It has two 4.375w x 3.25h blocks sit at each end with a column of a 2.125 in. block over a 2.125w x 1 in. block.

"Maharajah Jungle Trek" supplies used: This page was created using Mosaic Moments™  12x12 Bamboo grid paper. It also has Carob Cream and Almond Cream (chalked inked around the edges) Paper Tiles™. Pattern paper from BasicGrey™ was also used on this page. 

Tip: Can you tell where the inspiration for this page came from? Along the trail many of the walls looked distressed (You can see this best on the wall in the center photograph), so I decided to do the same look on this page as well. When taking photographs, take a look at your surroundings and see what inspires you for your next page.

Mosaic Moments Page Pattern 79 - Square Focal Point with Over 20 Detail Photos

Page Pattern Description: The focal point of this page is the 4.375 square in the center. 1 in. squares surround the focal point and 2.125 squares are on the outer edges as detail photographs.


"December 2010" Supplies used: This page was created using Mosaic Moments™ 12x12 Storm. The focal point of this page is a Calender from the MIni Calendars Free Download.

Tip: How did I cut out all those photos? I used a punch! Creating a page like this is quick and easy using a 1in. punch and a 2.125 square punch.

Mosaic Moments Page Pattern 78 - Mosaic Pattern with a Border Strip

 

Page Pattern Description: The top row of this page is made up of three 3.25 x 4.375 blocks with a vertical line of four 1 in. squares. Below this row, on the right, is a 5.5 x 2.125 title or journaling block. To the left is a 4.375w x 5.5h block that overlaps a 12w. x 1h. border strip. The rest of the page consists of 1 in. squares for a mosaic look.  

"Nuts Over You" supplies used: This page was created using Mosaic Moments™ 12x12 Sandstone grid paper. This page also has Chocolate Cream, Cyclamin Pink, Light Pretty Pink Paper Tiles™. A Squirrel Cornerstone and a White 2011 Four Square Cornerstone (covered with blue chalk ink... see directions here) were used as embellishments. Pattern Paper from Close to My Heart™ and Ocean Breeze Paper Tiles™ are also on this page.

Mosaic Moments Page Pattern 77 - Blocks with Notches

Page Pattern Description: The left and right Columns of this page mirror each other starting from the top with a 2.125w x 4.375h block, below is a 3.25w x 5.5 block with a notch cut in the corner, and the very bottom has a 3.25w x 1 h block. In the Center of the page, the top and bottom have mosaic detailing. The top as 1in. squares covering a 4x6 square area and the very bottom has 1 in squares covering 2x4 square area. In between these is a 6.625 x 1 in. title block and a 4.375 x 3.25 block below it.

Notice the 3.25 inch wide photos on the left and right of the page each have a square "notch" cut out of them to accomodate the title. You can simply lign up the photo with the grid on the mat, crop it to a 3.25 x 5.5 inch piece to fit the grid paper. Then cut a 1.125 (1 1/8) inch square out of the top corners as shown above.

Example - the "soup can" image has a notch cut from the top left corner like this:

Page Pattern Description: This page is made up of mostly squares. The top and bottom rows each have two 4.375 squares with columns on the outer edges made up of two 1 in. squares with a 1 x 2.125 block in the center. The Center row has three 2.125 squares with two sets of four 1in. squares in between each of them.

"Assateague Island" supplies used: This page was created using Mosaic Moments™ 12x12 Birch grid paper. Carob Cream, Robins Egg, and Bamboo Paper Tiles™ were used as embellishments.

Middle Row: This row consists of two 4.75w x 3.25h blocks with a two by three area column of 1 in. squares in the center.

Bottom Row: There are two sets of 3.25 squares with a row of three 1 in. squares below them. A 4.375 block is in the center.

"Snow Day 2009" supplies used: This page was created using January's featured grid paper 12x12 Storm. January's Featured Paper Tiles™ Caribbean Breeze, Tropical Breeze, and Ocean Breeze were also used on this page. Pattern paper from BasicGrey's Eskimo Kisses 6x6 paper pad and BasicGrey's Eskimo Kisses alphabet stickers were used as embellishments.

Tip: See the snow in the 3.25w x 2.125h blocks near the top of the page? To create this effect, just take a white piece of paper and rip in half. It's that simple! In this case, I took two white 3.25w x 2.125 blocks and ripped them in half horizontally. Then I laid them on top of the Tropical Breeze, and Ocean Breeze 3.25w x 2.125h blocks.

Page Pattern Description: This page made up of two different columns. The left column is four squares in length, and the right column is six squares in length.

Left Column: Starting from the top -  4.375 x 4.375 square with a 4.375w x 5.5h block beneath it. The very bottom of this column has a row of four 1 in. squares.

Right Column: At the top is a 5.5w x 3.25h block with a column of three 1 in. squares next to it. Beneath is a 2.125w x 3.25h block and a 4.375w x 3.25 block. At the bottom of this column is a 6.625w x 4.375h block.

"Bridesmaids" supplies used: This page was created using Mosaic Moments™ 12x12 Granite grid paper. White and Scarlet Paper Tiles™, and pattern paper from BasicGrey's "Out of Print" 6x6 paper pad were used as embellishments on this page.

Mosaic Moments Page Pattern 73 - Two Page Spread with Title Strips

Page Pattern Description: This two page layout has two columns of 2.125 squares on the edges of each page. The Top, middle, and bottom rows are made up of 4.375w x 3.25h blocks, with the exception of the right page which has a 4.375w x 6.625h block (which takes the place of two vertical 4.375 x 3.25 blocks) for matting a large photograph. Two long 8.875 x 1 in strips line up together on each page and make a great spot as a title or journaling.

"Pike Street Market" supplies used: This colorful page layout was created using Mosaic Moments™ 12x12 Birch grid paper. It also has Apple Crush, Carob Cream, Caribbean Breeze, and Ocean Breeze Paper Tiles™.

Tip: This page layout is wonderful for many detail shots. Whenever possible, be sure to take many close up shots of objects to make great Mosaic pages!

Mosaic Moments Page Pattern 72 - Two Page Spread With Borders

Page Pattern Description: Each page has three different columns, making a total of six columns for the whole two page spread.

Left Page: The first column is a border using three 2.125 squares and two sets of 1 in. squares. Starting from the top, the second column has a 4.375 square with a row of four 1 in. squares beneath it, and the bottom has a 4.375w x 5.5h block.The last column is made up of a 4.375w x 6.625 block with a 4.375 square underneath it.

Right Page: The First column has a 4.375w x 6.625 block with a 4.375 x 1 strip. Below this is a row of four 1 in. squares with two more 4.375 x 1 strips at the bottom. The middle column begins at the top with a 4.375 x 5.5 block, a row of four 1 in. squares sits below it, and the bottom of this row has a 4.375 square. The last column makes another border for this entire page with three 2.125 squares and two sets of 1 in. squares.

"Opening Presents" Is also the page pattern example for this month. A great tip is to use detail shots for the borders. On this particular page, I used the large spaces in the pattern to show my brother and sister opening the presents since these are perfect spots for portrait photos. I used photographs of some of the presents my family received on Christmas as details for the border. Another tip is to get close up shots of ornaments and other decorations in the house. Detail photos create great embellishments for Mosaic pages as shown on this page. (click on layout for a closer view)

Page Description:

Left Column: On the top of this column is a 4.375w x 5.5h block with a 4.375 x 4.375 square underneath it. On the very bottom of this column are two 1 in. squares with a 2.125w x 1 block in between them.

Middle Column: Starting from the top, a 2.125 square sits at the top with a 2.125 x 1in block underneath it. A 2.125w x 4.375h block is in the center of this column. Another set of a 2.125 square and a 2.125 x 1 in. block are on the bottom.

Top Column: On the top are two 1 in. squares with a 2.125 x 1in block in between them. Below is a 4.375w x 3.25 block and a 4.375w x 6.625 is on the very bottom of this column.

Pattern Description: This page has two 1 x 11.125 strips that make great spots for titles and journaling. They also help separate the page into two different sections. On the top row of this page are two 5.5w x 3.25h blocks. In between the two border strips are two 3.25w x 5.5h blocks with a 4.375w x 5.5h block sitting in between them.

"Family Night Fun" supplies used: This page was created using Mosaic Moments™ 12x12 Storm grid paper. There is also a Sunflower Paper Tile™ and Pattern Paper from Simple Stories™ (100 Days of Summer Collection) that are both used as embellishments.

Page Description: This pinwheel pattern has a 2.125 x 2.125 square in the center of the page. On the left and right side of the center are two 4.375 x 4.375 squares. Below the center is a 5.5w x 4.375h block and above the center is a 6.625w x 4.375 block. In the top left corner is a 4.375w x 2.125h block that can be used for journaling. This page also has a few spots with 1 in. squares (Vertical line -bottom left corner, horizontal line - bottom right of page, and another horizontal line - below 6.625w x 4.475h block) lined up as embellishments.

Mosaic Moments Page Pattern 66- Puzzle Style with Mosaic Detailing

Page Description:

Top left block: 4.375w x 6.25h. In the center is a 4.375 x 4.375 square. The right corner has two 2.125w x 1h with four 1 in. blocks between them.

The bottom right corner has a 3.25w x 1h block sandwiched between nine 1 in. squares. The center contains a 3.25 x 3.25 square with a 3.25w x 1h block for journaling underneath it. A 4.375w x 6.25h block sits on the right side.

In the center four 1in. blocks sits right in the middle of the page.

 

"Alexis and Cassie" supplies used: This page was created with 12x12 Mosaic Moments™ Oregano grid paper. Deep Spring Green and Chocolate Cream Paper Tiles™ were used as embellishments. Page Pattern Description: This is a Mosaic Style Page with 3 spots for portrait oriented photographs. Two 3.25w x 5.5h blocks sit on opposite sides of the page and in the center is a 2.125w x 4.375 block surrounded by 1 in. squares.




 "Atlanta Aquarium" by Tami Potter.

 On the top half of this page, Tami cut pattern paper into 1 in. squares to create texture. She added a large title made out of a laser cut image to draw the viewer's eye to the top of the page. The bottom of this page has detail photographs cut into 1 in. squares. The mosaic pattern gives the effect of being inside an aquarium. 

Mosaic Moments Page Pattern 64 - Overlapping Focal Point

Page Pattern Description: Up to 8 photographs can be used on this page. Going Clockwise, A 5.5w x 4.37h block sits in the top left corner, and left of it is 1 in. blocks covering a 3 x 3 square area. The top right contains a 2.125w x 5.5h block. Below is four 1in. squares where a year Cornerstone or other embellishments can be added. The bottom row is made up of 3 - 3.25 squares with 3- 1in. squares in a vertical line. Another 3x3 area of 1 in. blocks is on the left of the focal point. In the center is the focal point made up of a 5.5w x 4.375h block that overlaps the top left block.

Mosaic Moments Page Pattern 62 - Octopus Shaped Chunky Pinwheel

Pattern Description: This pattern is a variation of the chunky pinwheel, and it forms the shape of a four legged octopus. This pattern accomadates four photographs, each cut and matted onto a 4.375 x 4.375 block, and cut into 1 in. squares on the edges. The center of the pattern contains a 2.125 x 2.125 square that helps seperate each photograph.





"Fun at Water Country" by Tami Potter

Tami created this page by taking 4x6 photographs and cutting them to fit in the 4.375 x 4.375 Paper Tiles™. The edges of each photograph were cut into 1 in. squares to help create the octopus shaped pattern.

Pattern Description: This puzzle page fits up to 6-7 photos. This page provides a main focal point and 3 other spots for photos to be matted. Smaller spaces can be used for photos or embellishments. Page pattern includes 2- 4.375 x 5.5 inches (one landscape and one portrait) areas, 1- 3.25 x 4.375, and 1- 3.25 x 3.25 square. 3- 2.125x 3.25 rectangles and the 2.125 x 2.125 square can be used as photos or embellishments around the focal points. 1 x 4.375 rectangle can be used as a title. 1 in. squares can used as embellishments through out the page.

 

"FAll in Love" supplies used: This lovely fall page features Mosaic Moments™ 12x12 Sand grid paper, and Plum, Deep Raspberry, and Spice Paper Tiles™. Clearly Autumn clear stamps, Clearly Number clear stamps, and Family Typestack clear stamps were used as embellishments. A BasicGrey™ sticker was also used as an embellishment on this page.
