Last weekend was CKC Valley Forge. I had done my homework, made plans, got directions, and set the alarm for 3 AM. Unfortunatly I was unable to sleep, do to a bit of an ache brought on by a recent agressive dental cleaning. I considered not going but then images of Cole playing at Sesame Place told me to "buck up" and we hit the road fully loaded (packed) at 3:30 AM.
My to do list (in addition to CKC of course):
King Tut exhibit
Sesame Place - Cole loves Elmo!
Shopping at the King of Prussia Mall
We arrived, set up our booth in a little over an hour, and headed out to do the fun stuff - 1st stop the Phildelphia Zoo. We were all a little tired but that has never stopped us before. There were polar bears to watch, zebras and giraffes to introduce ourselves to, and camel rides to enjoy! Did you know that the Phildelphia zoo was the first zoo in America?
Do to unforeseen pain and discomfort the zoo is where the photos end.
Sometimes life just isn't pretty! While Kevin and Paije were busy at the trade show Alexis played with Cole in a hotel room (for two days) where their mother lay on a bed (1st day - in terrible pain, second day - dazed and drugged after Kevin picked up an RX called to a local pharmacy by the dentist.)
I have to say, Cole and Alexis were awesome! They played - quietly - without one complaint about being stuck in a hotel room only 30 minutes from Elmo! I suppose my swollen face may have scared them silent!
For those of you who were able to make it to the show - I am sorry I missed you and I hope to see you next year.
