Kevin and I had the unusual privilege (well, unusual for us anyway) of driving through the Arizona desert on our way from Phoenix CKC to Memory Trends. The landscape is so different than we are accustomed to. I suppose a long drive through the desert doesn't necessarily come across as appealing - but it was... absolutely beautiful!
We saw Joshua trees, cactus, and some piles of rocks that may have been the inspiration for a character in the Fantastic Four.
We drove through a very cute town about an hour and a half outside Phoenix - I just love the clouds. They remind me of oil paintings - they don't quite look real.
We gawked in amazement at the beginnings of a bridge near the Hoover Dam. It is hard to imagine how they will span the huge canyon below.
Now we are back home, settled in, and making plans for newsletters, classes, and the next trip!
