I've had a few questions about where to find the Mosaic Moments challenge each month. It can always be found in our Mosaic Moments mail - if you don't receive an e-mail notice of our newsletter - you can sign up by adding your name in the "mail section" in the right column.
I've added the May challege below - I hope you will join in. :)
THE CHALLENGE: Choose a Color and let it inspire the photos you take.
creating this page think of a specific theme and mood you would like to
portray. This will help you brainstorm what type of photographs to take
when you pick your color. Think of themes that say something about you
or something you would like to remember in your life.
Paije decided to use Orange. After
brainstorming, she took photographs of objects found around the house
that represent what she thinks of this color.
Here is her page using
She made the monochromatic by using 12x12 White grid
paper, a sheet of orange pattern paper, and Tangelo Blast
and Medium Peaches and Cream Paper Tiles™ to match with my Orange theme. She used orange
crayons to create the titles.
Confession: I have a fetish for Bicycles and for the shadows they make.
Mosaic Moments Photo !nspiration: Week 19
I don't remember when I took my "first shot" at a bicycle. There have been so many now - photographing bicycles has grown on me (like flowers) when I see a bicycle I have to stop and take a picture; Especially if it is an interesting bicycle or in an interesting location.
The shot above is one of my favorites. I loved the burnt orange color. I took several shots of this bike because behind it was a big window. In the window there was a man standing on a orange ladder. The scene grabbed my attention. I took some full shots - but, I liked the composition of this one - with the tire cut off in front.
Below: A few of the shots I've taken - at Disney World, in New York City, and in Port Angeles WA (yes, the same Port Angeles as the Twilight movie saga.)
I hope you'll have time to stop and satisfy a fetish this week. :)
I guess it is not a secret that I love to take pictures of "stuff" - things that create texture, color, and most of all add to the memories...
One of my favorite photo taking activities is shopping at the farmers market (my family shops, I take pictures). Farmers markets are filled with so many interesting things: fruit, vegetables, jewelry, honey, plants, flowers...
Mosaic Moments Photo !nspiration: Week 18
Need a Saturday morning activity? May be you'd enjoy a few hours discovering "cool stuff" at your local farmers market.
