I love how these shots turned out. They were taken during a sorely needed lunch break on a day largely spent stuck in traffic. We were on our way to paint the rooms of our new home--a time of stress and excitement. A turning point in our lives.
Materials used: 12x12 grid paper in white, a cardboard box shade of brown cardstock, metal ruler, craft knife, Quick Glance Cutting Guide, Dotto adhesive, Lil Chizler, cutting mat, simple typewriter-style alphabet stamps and a stamp pad.
I used photos illustrating our new place before painting and after to complete this layout, cutting the three photos on the left side to the same size, 4 3/8 inches wide, 3 1/4 inches tall. I matted the two photos of Atticus and Brandon on cardstock, sized 6 5/8 inches wide and 4 3/8 inches tall, documenting the date and the event in the borders.
I had just a little bit of space left, perfect for my page title, "Before and After", which I stamped a bit crookedly, using simple typewriter-style stamps, reminding me of the way moving boxes are often labeled. I think it will be fascinating to look back on this page in a year and (hopefully) see how well we have settled into our new hometown!
