If I had to choose one family outing we've had that was more memorable than any other it would be an evening on the golf course a few years ago when I was 8+ months pregnant with my son. The light was beautiful, the girls were happy playing and it was wonderful to see my husband in his element swinging a golf club with two little tag-a-longs.
And because every page is a learning experience, let me share mine with this one: it's OK to let my personality show on my pages. This may seem intuitive for most, but here's the thing I've realized when doing anything remotely crafty. I always look at and admire other's bright colors and beautiful embellishments and often try to imitate. Then...it doesn't feel like me. Come see the "decor" in my house and you'll know what I'm talking about. I like things simple. And I've finally come to terms with it. So...that's how I keep my pages. I like my photos to be honest, and i don't mind letting them speak for themselves. Does this mean my pages wouldn't look better in someone else's eyes with some extras? Of course not. But they would be for someone else and not for myself. That's something I love about the mosaic layout. I like things linear, measured, balanced. And these work for my style. But here's another thing...if that's not your style, if you like things a bit more "spicy" (shall we say?), by all means...go for it! The sky's the limit with this stuff! So awesome!
