I recently returned from a trip to Washington. It was gorgeous the entire week I was there. I could not have asked for better weather. On my return flight I got a really good view of Mt. Saint Helens. I didn't have to ask which of the mountains it was - there was just no mistaking it:
Life, on the other hand is filled with mistakes. For example, many years ago Kevin and I spent a day at Mt. Rainier. It was a gorgeous summer day and I was happily clicking away - getting what I hoped would be many beautiful photos (this was pre-digital.) After I passed a certain # of photos I began to wonder, why was the camera not stopping? The roll of film should be finished. Have you guessed yet? Yup, no film.
Sometimes we get second chances at those shots, sometimes we don't. If you are looking for shots to capture memories of a trip that is "missing" photos, search flicker - with tons of shared photos you may find just exactly what you are missing.
I was lucky to have the opportunity to return to Mt Rainier on another gorgeous day:
