Christmas rushed past. The wedding was upon us and at the same time our long distance travelers were scheduled to board planes for the DC area, a snow storm decided to arrive on the east coast. All of the flights (including the one that would carry my brother - the photographer) were cancelled.
Thankfully (and when I say that I mean REALLY THANKFULLY) a wonderful local photographer named Garrett Ross responded to an e-mail I sent to him at 2 AM.
.
Of course, I was awake at 2 AM - couldn't sleep with the "What am I going to do without a photographer!" worry on my mind! I hit "SEND" but, truthfully I didn't expect a response - it's the holidays and even if he checked his e-mail I figured he would think I was completely crazy to ask if he was available on that same day; but, I had to try. The effort paid off when he called us later that morning. :)
.
We won't get to see the rest of the photos for 6 weeks or so - but, he was kind enough to give us a sneak peek. Check it out on his website: Garrett Ross - http://garrettross.tumblr.com/
It turned out to be a gorgeous day for taking photos - with snow on the ground it was a lovely setting here in Jamestown. I admit I got a little teary eyed watching the bride and groom being photographed on this day after the wedding.
Well God Bless Garret and what a beautiful photo!!! I mean REALLY gorgeous. Best wishes to the newly wedded couple!
