There was a time when I felt the need to scrapbook in chronological order. When I started using iPhoto to organize my photos (all my photos are organized in iPhoto by the date taken) I found the "freedom" to scrapbook by mood.
Recently I've been creating pages of my daughter Alexis at various ages. I've done the most recent years (age 12, age 13) so, today, I thought I'd go back a few years - to Kindergarten.
I haven't been doing a lot of journaling on these pages, mostly just adding her name and her age; however, on this page, I wanted to add a little note to "set the stage." When she looks at these pictures I want her to remember what was happening in "her world" when the photos were taken. Alexis was coming upon a big transition in her life. After six years of being "baby of the family" she was finishing her first year of school and learning to deal with the reality of becoming a "big sister."
Supplies: My foundation is our Mosaic Moments Paprika Grid Paper. I also used this months Paper Tiles Trio set. I added a little Basic Grey patterned paper from their "hopscotch" collection. It made a great backdrop for my title "Alexis Lindsey" and it picked up the colors in her shirt.
Hope you can find time to scrap an old memory this week. :)
