1. As a child - setting off lady fingers - mini fire crackers, sparklers, smoke bombs and other small fire works. Where we lived fireworks were illegal. The police would patrol the streets looking for offenders.

2. As an adult - going to the VP Fair in St. Louis. They have the best fireworks display each night on the riverfront. They set up the fireworks on barges in the Mississippi river.

3. The BBQ's, watermelon, family gatherings and fun.

4. Every thing red, white and blue celebrating independence.
