There are lots of memories inside our minds - sometimes we just need a little nudge to coax them out.
What are the First Five things that come to mind when you see this:

My List:
1. Fall Chilli Cook-offs. I've been to a few and I've enjoyed the Chilli - though I've never actually made chilli for a cook off.
2. When I was a kid I felt like I saw a million old westerns (they were on TV every Saturday) and there seemed to always be a guy named "Cookie" who made chilli.
3. My favorite Chilli (which I can't buy now that I live on the east coast) is Nally brand Chilli.
4. My Sister-in-law used to always have the canned Nally chilli in her pantry. It was the dish I most frequently served to her kids when I was baby sitting.
5. When we are traveling (especially on long road trips) I am grateful to have the option of Wendy's - where I can get a cup of chilli and a baked potato or a salad (instead of something fried in grease).

1- I once judged a chili contest based on smell as none were vegetarian (which I am)
2- I have a chili mix in a fancy glass container that I got for Xmas three + years ago- I can't part with it because it's pretty but I'm too lazy to cook the beans correctly.
3- I've never eaten Cincinnati spaghetti and cannot understand why someone though chili would be tasty with spaghetti
4- Not sure how Chili w/out beans is still called chili- it's just meat, not chili
5- Your black beans look like bugs :o)
